How it works

Build an eleven from real Premier League seasons since 2010, then take it through this season, 2026/27, in place of Hull (sorry, Hull fans, someone had to go). Win the league if you can.

Two things win it: knowing your football, which earns the money, and spending it well, which turns it into a team.

1

Four rounds

Four quick mini-games, different every run. Every right answer earns money for one transfer budget, and you watch it add up as you play; a clue or a next club costs a little. A great round is worth far more than a poor one.
2

Spend it

A manager first, then eleven players, in any order. Tap a position and four players come up, each from one real season, each with a price. The big names cost the most. You can't have them all: a Haaland means a cheaper back four.
3

Make the call

The big name, the player who had one brilliant year, or the one who suits what your manager wants? Hidden among them are the cult classics, hundreds of them from outside the big six: the seasons fans remember that cost less than they were worth. And the breakouts: the season a big-six player became a star. Nothing marks either. Spotting them is half the fun, and so is finding the players who were better than their price. Once a draft you can take a completely random player for free, and live with him. No more than two from one club.
4

Play the season

38 matchdays against this season's real squads. Everyone gets the same fixtures and the same luck, so your result is down to your team.

What matters

  • · Your answers. They're your budget.
  • · Where you spend it. A side of stars in one line and bargains everywhere else rarely works.
  • · The season, not just the name. The same player can be brilliant one year and ordinary the next: each card shows his real numbers for that season.
  • · Players in their own position. A right-back at centre-back costs you.
  • · Your manager's system. Each manager wants certain kinds of player for each position. Spotting who fits is up to you.
  • · Balance. Strikers need creators behind them, and two players who want the same space get in each other's way.
  • · Chemistry. Players who know each other play better together. Nobody tells you who; the season does.

The games

Four of these, different every run. Tap one to play it on its own.

Your Season Score

Points count most, then goals, goal difference and clean sheets. Winning the league, the top four and Europe add more, and so do awards for your players: the Golden Boot, the Golden Glove, most assists, Player of the Season. Going down costs you.

At the end, Finish higher shows what would have made the biggest difference, in points.
